The following is an explanation of the various line items on the EZCheck monthly statement.

Billing Period
This line item shows the calendar month for which the authorization data and fees apply.

Merchant No.
This line item shows the unique EZCheck Merchant ID number assigned to each Merchant. This number should be used on all correspondence sent to EZCheck.

Total Check Inquiries-There are four headings:
Number - The number of times the terminal dialed out. The number includes all authorizations, including approvals, declines and batch transmissions.
Amount - Total dollar amount of authorizations approved during the statement period.
Rate - The Discount Rate that is charged on each authorized approved transaction.
Total – The total dollar amount of all Discount Rate charges.

Transaction Fee
This line item shows the number of all authorizations, the per charge amount and the total amount.

Monthly Minimum Less Disc ( $ - $ )
This line item shows the formula to calculate the amount, if any, of unused Monthly Minimum charges due. It is the assigned Monthly Minimum minus the total dollar amount of Discount Rate charges. The Total shown is the amount of unused Monthly Minimum charges.

Monthly Statement Fee
This is the monthly fee charged to cover administrative and billing costs.

Current Month Charges
This is the total dollar amount of all the individual fees and charges for the month.

Discount Applied
This line item accounts for the Discount Rate charges taken out of settled funds during the calendar month. The Discount Rate is deducted from approved transactions and the remaining funds are deposited to the Merchant's bank account.

Balance Charged to Your Account
This line item is the Current Month Charges minus the Discount Applied line. This is the actual amount charged to your bank account.

Data Base Savings
This section details the number of transaction and the dollar amount EZCheck saved the Merchant by declining checks through the use of various bank and negative databases and risk management models.
