Set-Up and Support


Product Requirements   

  • Forms: There is a separate EZCheck Electronic Check Transfer Agreement that needs to be completed to enable the ECT. 

  • Terminal Ordering: Equipment can be ordered by completing an Equipment order form. Send a completed form with ECT Agreement to:

Deployment

When EZCheck has completed the underwriting and approved the merchant for ECT, EZCheck will send the merchant an ECT Welcome Kit which will contain  point-of-sale materials and instructions. The Kit will also provide the necessary guarantee materials if a check doesn't qualify for ECT or if the merchant chooses to purchase guarantee without the ECT program.

EZCheck Customer Service will call the merchant to confirm receipt of the Welcome Kit and to verify the merchant’s understanding of the instructions.

Equipment Ordering 

An equipment Order Form must be submitted to EZCheck for each merchant. 

Note: If the merchant already has equipment (IVI-3000), a re-program form must be submitted with the ECT application and EZCheck must be contacted in order to complete the check download function. 

Installation of EZCheck Total Payment Solution System

Setting up the Talento and MagTek check reader or EC5000i imager payment terminal is a simple process, and merchants can install the terminal themselves using the Installation Guide shipped with the equipment.

Installation of the IVI-3000 and Scribe 612 Printer (or) other printers

Setting up the IVI-3000 stand-alone check reader and printer is also a simple process, and the merchant should be able to plug and play this system, if it is provided and programmed by EZCheck. An Installation Guide will be shipped with the equipment.

Available Merchant Documentation

The Installation Guide supplied with the terminal gives the merchant step-by-step instructions for setting up the terminal, as well as maintenance and troubleshooting.

ECT Procedure Card, supplied in the EZCheck merchant welcome kit, includes detailed

instructions on processing ECT transactions, response codes and definitions, required ID, printing reports and closing the batch.
